had been here about ten weeks visiting his sister-in law, Mrs Myra Adams, passed
away at the latter's home on Saturday, May 3. He had the 'flu' last
October which left him with a weak heart and asthma. He went to the coast
in hopes of being benefited but got no improvement there so came to St. George,

was bishop of Manassa ward for 21 years, resigning when ill health overtook him.
He is survived by two wives and seven children. One of his wives, Mrs

illness and death here. A son, Samuel Jackson, Jr., came here for the
remains and left with them Tuesday for Manassa, Mrs Jackson accompanying him."
The last column under "Card of Thanks" reads: "To all those kind friends
who helped us by their presence, sympathy and kindly acts in our recent
