Notes from the Mountain View, Colorado Branch.  It reads: "Mountain View Branch was organized sometime in the Winter or Spring of 1889 with Timothy Gilbert as Presiding Elder He presided over the Branch till a Conference hel[d] in Manassa March the 7th 1891 at which time he was honorable released.  Mountain View Sunday School was first organized by stake Supt Wm Christensen in the winter or spring of 1889 with Joseph Draper Supt.  He was Supt. till Sept 27th 1891."  Source: Record of Members, 1888-1915

62. S. L. S. A. Souvenir The San Luis Stake Academy burned down on April 11, 1925.  This souvenir is dedicated to the building.
63. Marriage License Newspaper article announcing those who applied for a marriage license (source unknown).  Includes Elvera Jackson and Warren Rasmussen.
64. Samuel Jackson, Sr. Obituary
The Washington  County News, May 8, 1919 contains the obituary of Samuel Jackson, Sr.  Samuel was born July 13, 1844 in Manchester, Lancashire, England and died on May 3, 1919, at St. George, Utah. 
 
The obituary is contained in the second column and is entitled:  "Samuel Jackson Passes."  It reads:  "Samuel Jackson, of Manassa, Colo, who had been here about ten weeks visiting his sister-in law, Mrs Myra Adams, passed away at the latter's home on Saturday, May 3.  He had the 'flu' last October which left him with a weak heart and asthma.  He went to the coast in hopes of being benefited but got no improvement there so came to St. George, where he died of the trouble stated.  Samuel Jackson was 75 years old and was bishop of Manassa ward for 21 years, resigning when ill health overtook him.  He is survived by two wives and seven children.  One of his wives, Mrs Martha Jackson, a sister of Mrs Myra Adams of this city was with him during his illness and death here.  A son, Samuel Jackson, Jr., came here for the remains and left with them Tuesday for Manassa, Mrs Jackson accompanying him."
