2	Gilbert, Timothy	Notes from the Mountain View, Colorado Branch of the LDS chruch as reported in the Record of Members, 1888-1915. It reads: "Mountain View Branch was organized sometime in the Winter or Spring of 1889 with Timothy Gilbert as Presiding Elder He presided over the Branch till a Conference hel[d] in Manassa March the 7th 1891 at which time he was honorable released. Mountain View Sunday School was first organized by stake Supt Wm Christensen in the winter or spring of 1889 with Joseph Draper Supt. He was Supt. till Sept 27th 1891."
3	Jackson, Ann Grimshaw	Patriarchal blessing given to Ann Grimshaw on March 14, 1859 in Nephi, Utah. Ann Grimshaw was born in 1806 in Manchester, Lancashire, England and married Benjamin Jackson on July 19, 1824. Here is a transcription by Debbie Firkins.
4	Jackson, Ivin	News article regarding Ivin Jackson's career as a Veterinarian entitled Ivin Jackson has Long Career as a Veterinarian, AG Weekly, Twin Falls, Idaho, Saturday, March 16, 2002. Ivin was born February 8, 1912 and is the son of William Jackson and Mary Georgena Gilbert.

7	Jackson, Mary Georgena Gilbert	Letter from Mary Georgena Gilbert Jackson to her daughter, Elvera, on December 16, 1929. The letter primarily deals with Mary's infant son, Sam Jackson. Here is a transcription by Ron Jackson.
8	Jackson, Mary Georgena Gilbert	A 1928 cartoon entitled "Why Mothers Get Gray." The note at the bottom of the document was written by Mary Georgena Gilbert Jackson and reads: "I had many a day like this, looks natural. Ha." Note the lamp and all. Ha." Josephine Jackson Jones, Mary's daughter, wrote the following regarding this note: "This was sent to El Vera in 1928 by our Mother! She wrote the note at the bottom! How similar her problems were, that Mothers now face. Our Mother was so special, as was our Dad! We were lucky!"

The card reads: "Dear Daughter, Oh Mary you blesset Child of mine, You..., D___ are great but the Blessings are thin, If you will but ___ ___, By Fasting and Prayer to God above, You will be filled with His mercy and love. With tender love, Hanna Marie"

11	Jackson, Warren	Obituary of Warren June Jackson. Warren was born on June 26, 1920 in Manassa, Colorado and is the son of William Jackson and Mary Georgena Gilbert.
12	Jackson, William & Mary Georgena Gilbert	Marriage Certificate for William Jackson and Mary Georgena Gilbert. They were married on March 20, 1901 in the Salt Lake Temple of the LDS Church. William Jackson (b. 21 Aug 1871) and Mary Georgena Gilbert (b. 9 Apr 1885) were married on March 20, 1901. William is the son of Samuel Jackson and Hanna Marie Jaques and Mary is the daughter of Timothy Gilbert and Joanne Margarethe Stoutz.

They don't have such ____ one here as you sent. I hope you get the little package I sent you." William Jackson (b. 21 Aug 1871) and Mary Georgena Gilbert (b. 9 Apr 1885) were married on March 20, 1901. The letter was written on May 9, 1910 while William was on his mission in England. William Jackson (b. 21 Aug 1871) and Mary Georgena Gilbert (b. 9 Apr 1885) were married on March 20, 1901. William was the son of Samuel Jackson and Hanna Marie Jaques and Mary was the daughter of Timothy Gilbert and Joanne Margarethe Stoutz.

16	Jackson, William	Postcard from Hanna Marie Jaques Jackson to her son, William, on his misson to England dated December 2, 1909 and reads: "My Dear Son, We had a very nice time at xmas. Mary & the children ate dinner with us. The band came & played 3 pieces for us I hope you had a good xmas & I wish you a happy New Year. From your loving Mother. Hanna Jackson"
17	Jackson, William	This postcard was sent to William Jackson from his Mother, Hanna Marie Jaques Jackson, on June 4, 1910, while he was serving a mission in England. It reads: "Dear Will, We just came home from the ranch been gone a week. Elvera is much better. she will mail this card. I am glad to get home. the lawn looks fine every thing has grown....this week we had a nice time on the ranch 13 cherries 70 sacks of wool average...love from. Hanna Jackson." William was born August 21, 1871.

20	Jackson, William	Death Certificate for William Jackson . William was born on August 21, 1871 in Nephi, Utah to Samuel Jackson and Hanna Marie Jaques. He married Mary Georgena Gilbert (b. 9 Apr 1885) on March 20, 1901, and together they had twelve children. William passed away on July 20, 1957.

37	Jackson, Mary Georgena Gilbert	Letter from Mary Georgena Gilbert Jackson to her daughter Louvina Jackson Smith dated June 18, 1930 just a few weeks before Mary passed away on August 6, 1930. Louvina sent this letter to her brother, Melvin Samuel Jackson, on 16 January 1979 along with a letter of her own.

He married Hannah Maria Jaques on December 31, 1867 and Martha Ann Jackson on November 22, 1883. Samuel passed away on May 3, 1919 in St. George, Utah, and Hannah she passed away on August 17, 1929 in Manassa, Colorado.

Graduates include Nellie Reynolds, Eva Boice, Geneva Holman, Maud McDaniel, Lura Reed, Elvera Jackson, Wilford R. Jensen, Edwin Thomas, Ben Poulson, and Lola Beck. Elvera gave the Class History.

Graduates include Edwin Boice, Letha Boice, Belva Carter, Merril Christensen, Thel Dunn, Florence Gates, Leila Jensen, Warren Rasmussen, Verda Rogers, Lynn Smith and Ruth Valentine. Warren gave the Class History.
62	San Luis Stake Academy	The San Luis Stake Academy burned down on April 11, 1925. This souvenir is dedicated to the building.

64	Jackson, Samuel, Sr.	The obituary of Samuel Jackson, Sr. as reported in The Washington County News, May 8, 1919. It is located in the second column and is entitied "Samuel Jackson Passes." Here is a transcription by Ron Jackson. Samuel was born July 13, 1844 in Manchester, Lancashire, England and died on May 3, 1919, at St. George, Utah. The last column under "Card of Thanks" reads: "To all those kind friends who helped us by their presence, sympathy and kindly acts in our recent bereavement, we desire to extend most sincere thanks. Martha Jackson, Samuel Jackson, Jr., Myra Adams."

67	Jackson, William	The following was found in the Pueblo Indicator, April 11, 1936: "William Jackson of Manassa and his son, W. G. Jackson, are conducting a cattle feeding demonstration to test the value of feed grown on their own ranch. The feed consists of chopped barley and oats and chopped alfalfa and pea hay."
68	Jackson, Samuel, Sr.	The San Luis Stake held a quarterly conference on July 14 and 15, 1901. An article in the Deseret News, July 27, 1901 mentions Samuel Jackson, Sr. in reference to the conference. It reads: "At the session held on Monday Bishop Christen Jensen reported the Eastdale ward and Bishop Samuel Jackson reported the Manassa Ward."

73	Jackson, Ivin	This is a collection of pages from the Colorado State Universities year book, The Silver Spruce, where there is mention of Ivin Jackson. Three Jackson borthers, Ivin, Delwyn and Sam, earned there degrees from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. I was unable to find any documents of Delwyn, but I am farily sure he attended school there. Ron Jackson

77	Jackson	An article by Richard L. Jensen entitied "Names of Persons and Sureties indebted to the Perpetual Emigrating Fund Company 1850 to 1877." Includes a reference to Ann Grimshaw Jackson and her family.

79	Gilbert, Johanne Stoutz	Johanne Stoutz was known for writing many, many poems. Unfortunately the only known poem is reported in Minnie Heath's The Descendants of Timothy & Johanne Gilbert. It was written in remembrance of her daughter, Louvina Rasmene Gilbert, who passed away on April 6, 1905 in Manassa, Colorado at the age of fifteen.
80	Jackson, Samuel, Sr.	Samuel Jackson, Sr is mentioned in the Life Story of Elihu Kisor Ball. In his history Elihu says: "I presided over the Mountain View Branch until 1896. At this time the branch was divided. Two branches were made out of the one and I was requested by Bishop Samuel Jackson to give the part where I lived a new name. The name Bountiful suggested itself to me."
